We had a drink in the leisure centre cafe beforehand and it was very surreal sitting between the gig-goers swigging their beer and the parents waiting for their kids to get out of the pool.

The gig was really good, though it was a bit weird watching the Manics while sitting down. They even did a cover of Umbrella by Rihanna.

In the evening we were off to see the Manic Street Preachers at the Newport Lesisure Centre for their Homecoming Gig.
