We then popped in to the new Saddle Creek Records store which had only been open for two hours.

It looks exactly like Tom's old bedroom use to be with the same colour walls, records everywhere and all of the t-shirts Tom owns sitting on a rail.

It was then time for the grand opening of the Saddle Creek Shop.

They'd added lots more things since the last time we were in.

They've added lots of memorabilia to the wall, turning it in to a mini museum. We didn't realise all the work, and crafting that goes in to album covers, as they had the huge quilt for Bright Eyes "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" and a cross-stitch for Spend an Evening with Saddle Creek.

Tom was most excited that they had the huge Fevers & Mirrors mirror on the wall.

Orenda Fink then played a few songs.

Afterwards Laura Burhenn played a few songs by The Mynabirds.

I thought the shop was going to be too small for gigs, but when they wheeled the records out, it was the perfect size.

Tim Kasher instore at the Saddle Creek Shop.

Tim Kasher was playing a free gig in the Saddle Creek store and Brian made it in time. I've not listened to much of his music or Cursive before but I thought he was similar to Adam Green.

Today we got to meet the guys from our favourite record label Saddle Creek Records. They were really nice and you'll be able to find out all about them in our Road Trip issue of Snippets.
