Today was a very long but fun day. I got up super early and headed to Elephant & Castle for a 1950?s hair and make-up class, which I had been invited to review for Cut Out + Keep.

It lasted for 4 hours and we were taught how to curl and twist our hair in to various 50?s styles and apply our make-up like true pinup girls.

I had lunch with the two lovely ladies above – Lena works for a cool site called Queens of Vintage and Bea DeVile, who is a burlesque performer and claims to make killer cupcakes. We’ve already planned various ways for working together.

Ruby Rose styled my hair and made my modern fringe disappear.

The afternoon was a fascinator making class with Tricia Cox, who I had met at a craft fair last year. It was so much fun playing with all the pretty embellishments.

I headed home around 6 pm feeling very sleepy with two lovely new fascinators.
