My roller skates arrived today, so after work on Friday, Tom and I hit up Kensington Gardens to go for a skate. The good news is that I didn’t fall over but it will take some practice.

We rewarded ourselves with a sushi picnic afterwards as we watched the sun set over London. As it was getting dark, there was a lady doing yoga in the grass and an Italian man skated past us, did a double take at her, looked at us and then said “ah, it must be summer, I loves it!” before skating off.

We all decided to meet for a picnic in Hyde Park after work today. Louise, Lynz and her new flatmate, Nicola came too.

Dave & Mel’s friends were far more professional at picnicing that us. We settled for sushi, cherry Lambrini and a game of frisbee.

We stayed until it went dark and a van with a scary Scottish announcement told us to leave. I had to be careful not to say “see you tomorrow” to anyone and act like it was the last time I’d see Mel before she flew back to Canada...
