Rookie Yearbook arrived this morning and I knew it was going to be a fun day, as the book included a 7" record, stickers and paper crowns.

In reality I had one of the busiest days ever with so many emails to answer. I was kept working right in to the evening. Tom checked the stats and I'm sending over 500 emails a week these days.

We were so exhausted by the end of the night that we decided to reward ourselves with sushi for dinner. It was so good!

We've been meaning to try out the new Tony Macaroni in Morningside since it had opened a couple of months ago and after spotting this sign today, we finally decided to go in.

The vegetarian selection was pretty limited but we ordered two slices of the two that didn't have meat and they were really nice. They even cut them in half twice so we could share.

We also shared a cannoli for dessert and I'd think it was nice enough that I'd go back for more.

I ordered some cubbies to organize the bottom of my wardrobe but the original design took up a lot of space and didn't hold that many shoes. Tom came to the rescue and hacked it together so that I could fit double the amount of shoes in a much smaller space. You can see the difference it's made from the before and after. I felt like Carrie Bradshaw, after Mr Big built her new shoe cupboard!

And just when I though things couldn't get better, Tom surprised me with a pic n mix!

Cut Out + Keep was mentioned on the TV show Super Scrimpers on Channel 4 yesterday. It's so exciting to be able to say "As Seen On TV"!

Tom met up with his Dad for a coffee in town this afternoon and I met him on the canal afterwards for a picnic from Pret A Manger.

Afterwards we went for coffee and cake at The Chocolate Tree.

There was a really cute bear in the back room.

The Chocolate Tree always has an amazing selection of treats, so we decided to sample a few and had a chilli & tequila chocolate, salted pecan macaroon and elderflower wine chocolate. They were all delicious!

My new Crosley record player arrived this morning and we were so excited to give it a spin.

It's so compact and easy to carry around in it's suitcase and I love the colour.

We had so much fun listening to all of our old records.

Sarah came over this afternoon for tea and cakes.

She brought some really pretty flowers.

In the evening we met up with Nicole and Corinne for dinner at The Basement. We were still stuffed from all the cake and tea with Sarah so we just shared a plate of nachos.

Nicole had also bought a voucher for karaoke at Supercube, so we went for another session. There were a lot of Cliff Richard songs in the catalogue.

We went for a drink at The Queen's Arms afterwards which was a really cool looking bar.

Suncatcher eyes sent me a package of "doll parts", which I think is the cutest customs declaration I've ever seen.

I've wanted to get to get Tom a ukulele for ages and when I spotted this Make Your Own Ukulele kit in Urban Outfitters, I knew I had to surprise him with it!

He took over my craft desk to build it and paint it.

It looks so pretty!

Tom's already learned how to play it, including the You & Me song that Ryan Gosling plays in Blue Valentine.

We met up with Laura this evening for tips on how to use Twitter better. She's amazing at it and we left with lots of ideas and a renewed love for social media.

Afterwards, we all joined forces with Kenny for the pub quiz at Under The Stairs again. We came 4th this week.
